	WADA Scholarship Recipients – to be honored during the WADA Workshop
Six individuals will be honored, during the WADA Workshop, when the WADA Scholarships are presented for the third time.		WADA SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
The 2008 recipients, in alphabetical order, as selected by a special WADA committee: Erica Babinec – Luther High School, Onalaska Onalaska, WI Parents: Joel & Chris Babinec College: Martin Luther College, Minnesota Cody Knudson – Barneveld High School Barneveld, WI Parents: Kevin & Kathleen Knudson College: University of Wisconsin – Madison Benjamin Pease – Adams-Friendship High School Friendship, WI Parents: Gretchen & Richard Pease College: Winona State, Minnesota Jay Plemon – Park Falls High School Park Falls, WI Parents: Michael & Stacey Plemon College: UW-River Falls Andrew Schecher – Dodgeland High School, Juneau Steven Schecher – Dodgeland High School, Juneau Mayville, WI Parents: Signe and the late John Schecher College – Andrew: University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee College – Steven: University of Wisconsin – Madison Recognition of the recipients will take place at the 42nd annual Workshop, which will be held in Appleton on November 8-9-10-11, 2008 at the Paper Valley Hotel. Specific details regarding the recognition process will be communicated with the recipients, who will be honored during the WADA Annual Meeting. Each of the six will receive a $500 scholarship award from the WADA. The student-athlete does NOT need to be present during the Workshop. Each candidate was evaluated based upon five categories: - Athletic Participation. - Other Co-Curricular Activities. - Non-School Affiliated Community Service. - Answers to Two Questions listed on the application. - Leadership Roles in Athletics and Other Co-Curricular Activities.
