Participants in the 23rd annual WADA Golf Outing will tee
off on July 18,
a Wednesday this year, at The Ridges Golf Course in Wisconsin Rapids.

There will be a “New A.D. Workshop” held on Wednesday,
Aug. 8, at
the WIAA Office in Stevens Point.
The event, which runs from 9:00 a.m.
until 4:30 p.m., is for any NEW athletic director – or any VETERAN athletic

NEW ORLEANS UNIFORM PROJECT
Athletic directors from Wisconsin are asked to
join ADs from across
the country who are involved in a project coordinated by the National
Emergency Network of the NIAAA to provide surplus uniforms for
a school district in New

WADA VICE PRESIDENT CANDIDATE INFO
The WADA membership will elect
each fall a Vice
President, and that
person will become one of the officers
of the organization. The
position
requires a
4-year commitment to the WADA… as the person selected
will
serve one year each, in order, as Vice President, President Elect,
President,
and Past President.
To help potential candidates understand the basics of the process, and steps
involved,

A SPECIAL TRIBUTE TO THE LATE CHUCK COULTHART
Each fall, when retired athletic directors gather for a
round of golf
in the annual event sponsored by the WADA they will take part in the
Chuck Coulthart WADA Retired A.D. Golf Outing. Read more.

DISTRICTS TO HOLD SPRING CAUCUS IN APRIL
Each of the seven WADA districts will hold their Spring Caucus
in April.
The agenda for the district meeting will be sent out by your District Rep.
One important item will be completion of the nomination process regarding
two prestigious WADA awards:
District Athletic Director of the Year and
the Distinguished Service Award -- in each district.

The annual WADA State AD of the Year award recipient comes from
those individuals selected as District AD of the Year recipients.

WADA SCHOLARSHIP DEADLINE NEARS
For the second year, the WADA
will annually present up to 6 scholarships
of $500.00 each to a son or daughter of a current WADA
member, and
the graduating senior has been accepted to post-secondary institution.
The deadline for applications is April 1, 2007. The application packet
has been posted.

The NIAAA is sponsoring a
scholarship for any student-athlete in a high school
in which the athletic director is currently a member of both the NIAAA
and
