1.       New AD’s….Tim Flood of Nekoosa and Pam Huston of Wausau West

 

2.       WIAA Champions in District II….SPASH (St. Point)…Band G D-I Cross Country

 

3.       Chuck Enders of Laona is DII AD of the year & Gene Delissio of Marshfield  DSA winner

 

4.       Election Update:    Fall of 2004 District II will elect a District Rep to replace Bill Vickroy and a Gender Rep to replace Linda Fenske…..2 year terms with possible re-election to a 2nd term

Vice Presidential candidates need to consider now and get letters of approval  from their principal and superintendent and then forward them to WADA elections coordinator Bill Vickroy of Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln.  DEADLINE TO BE ON THE BALLOT IS OCT. 1.

 

5.       District Door Prize:  Cordinated by Marawood Conference this year….$1300.00 package.  Thanks to Josh Kubly and his conference AD’s for a great effort!  Nest year, 2004, will have the Central Wisconsin Conference coordinating things.  (2005 will be the Wis. Valley Conference)

 

6.       LTC”s…..New course are being developed.  501 and 504 will be offered the day before the WADA Golf Outing in Wisconsin Rapids….plus others and the CAA Exam…..classes  on July 19 & CAA Exam and Golf Outing on July 20, 2004.  Get your CAA and/or CMAA now because the required steps will be increased starting in January of 2005.

 

7.       NIAAA Convention Delegate Nominees:  Mike Younggren and Mike Devine

 

8.       Open Forum topics on Tuesday with the WIAA…..ask by microphone..not pre-written.

 

9.       District II Concerns:            ……..Higher seeded schools should host throughout  tourn. Series

…….. Open gyms./ we need to police and control/no instruction/set limits

…….. Seeding meetings-create teleconference options

…….. Level I Footbal site criteria – too strict for a lot of participating schools, especially the smaller ones and they get left out of the mix.

…….. Concern with Girls Soccer playing WIAA Tournament in bad weather…can season be altered to avoid snow/cold problems.

…….. Girls swim season is too long

…….. WIAA Conference Realignment to be discussed at end of caucus and later with Doug

 

10.   Linzi Gronning of Holmen is asking for volunteers to help re-organize the WADA constitution.

 

11.   2004 WADA Workshop Nominees for D#II AD of the Year and DSA(Distginguisher Service Award)  need to be written up and presented at the D#II Spring Caucus in Antigo on March 31, 2004.  Supporting material will help the discussion and vote process.  Official forms for submission to the WADA Awards Committee will be given to the 2 winners that day.

 

12.   Golf Outing:  Tuesday, July 20, 2004 at The Ridges in Wisconsin Rapids, WI.  12 Noon Shotgun Start…..Meeting and lunch at 11:00a.m…..$75 includes skins & mulligans.  See WADA website for entry information and forms…..July 1, 2004 deadline for entries.

 

13.   Spring Caucus:  District II  Wednesday, March 31, 2004 in Antigo…Leffels Supper Club with 11:30am lunch and business to follow.

 

14.   WADA workshop site/date……….Happy with Appleton & unanimous to keep in the Fall.

 

15.   WIAA Concerns…..Baseball/ 4 divisions with merger of Spr and Summer ball is acceptable

      …... Regional seeding to determine officials ok…will take cooperation

   ……..28-20 vote to keep rules on  no equipment as is….liability concerns.

   ……Keep numbers of contests in seasons as they are….budget concerns.

16.   Volunteers for presiders, presenters, etc. should contact Dist. Rep.  Bill Vickroy of Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln …..for the 2004 Workshop…..contact at Spring Caucus or sooner.
